An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal
Allow me to copy Pagan Altar's third album title to describe not only III:Pentecost but the whole discography of Wytch Hazel so far: well, yes, it's Magical and Mythical!!! A must-have for the lovers of 70's hard sound revival. BoneWalker

Trad metal with a dark, gothic leaning. The album blurb talks about the band seeking to deliver a timeless sound on the record and I think they nailed it. Everything you want from a traditional metal album is delivered in spades. Great riffs, great melodies and the production quality is excellent. The thing that holds a lot of good bands back from being great is the quality of the singing. The vocals are a real strength on this record, capturing the energy of the songs perfectly. Superb record! A Becker
